The Earth is Always Moving.

“I feel the earth, move under my feet I feel the sky tumblin’ down, tumblin’ down.” OK, so this might be a Carole King song from 1971, but it’s also a good theme song for all the Spokane based excavation companies. These individuals literally move the earth around you. With the use of heavy equipment and excavation tools these companies can transform any land improvement and construction project.

As with most industries, excavation work is as varied as they come. Local companies can do anything from site grading and preparation, perc tests, ditch digging, drainage and land clearing, to wrecking or demolition work. They can add topsoil and fill dirt to lawns and gardens. Excavators might even help provide water and sewer trenching, septic drain fields work, and install telephone, natural gas and power duct lines.

So the possibilities seem endless. Perhaps it’s time to dig out and level your lawn? Perhaps your newly finished cabin needs natural gas lines? Or maybe your sledgehammer isn’t enough to fully demolish your old business front, in hopes of creating a new one.

Whatever the end goal may be, contact a professional. These individuals know all the rules, codes and have the excavation permits required to get your project off the ground rolling. Call around and choose an excavation company that has a catalogue of good reference that will be able to match your needs.

Once you select a company, discuss your options.  Provide as much detail as possible about your project and make your voice known. Discuss landscaping details with your company or contractor and make sure they have a firm understanding of the overall design.

It’s best to move all that dirt at once in one fell swoop. It’ll save you time and money, which means the sky won’t tumble down on you like poor Carole King.
